As Dragon continued to hunt and feed, Kara moved on to knocking opalescent beetles off half-eaten leaves and into the pot. They had the same color patterns as the grubs, but with legs and exoskeletons, too. After a while, she started singing a simple song with a folksy tune:The grubs eat the roots,So we gotta root ’em out,Beetles go crunch on the le-e-e-eaves.First you bite the head off,Then you suck the guts out,Then you throw the rest of it awa-a-a-ay.Short squishy squiggly ones,Creepy crawly crunchy ones,Yummy nummy tummy filling bugs.Tummy full, Dragon peeped along, his pitch going up and down with the melody.
